Take the health of your hair up a notch with these natural recipes that promise to transform your tresses. (copy right-HarperBazzar)

SUPERCHARGE COLOR Regardless of shade, when it comes to your hair’s hue, the goal is always the same—keep it bright and fresh like you just stepped out of the salon. Apple cider vinegar removes excess product build-up that can dull color, without stripping hair of its natural oils and helps seal the cuticle to lock in the color, too.
1. Rinse your hair out with one part apple cider vinegar (which can be found in any health food store) and two parts warm water.

2. Simply pour the mixture over your head in the shower after you shampoo, massage it into your hair for about a minute and then rinse it out.

REVERSE DAMAGE The fix: infuse moisture back in and help to boost shine, which always translates to healthy hair. “Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it locks in moisture and avocado contains oils and fatty acids that most closely resemble our own body’s natural secretions,” explains Masters. “Both of these ingredients add protection and nutrients to the hair shaft to repair unruly, damaged hair.”
1. Peel and mash up an avocado in a bowl, add one tablespoon of honey; mix them together and massage it into the hair
2. Leave it in for about fifteen minutes and then rinse out; follow with a light shampoo.

SOOTHE YOUR SCALP The scalp is actually an extension of our skin, and where healthy hair starts (think about it, every strand comes out strong and shiny and damage-free). "Coconut oil is not only great for the hair but has many moisturizing and stimulating benefits for the scalp as well," says Masters."While rosemary, tea tree oil and spearmint are great for treating dry, flaky scalp and stimulating hair growth, which is what everyone really wants."

1. Mix three tablespoons of coconut oil, one tablespoon of spearmint oil, two drops of tea tree oil and rosemary oil and/or jojoba oil in a bowl.
2. Use a scalp treatment brush (which can be found in a haircare beauty store) and apply the mixture to the scalp and massage for about 10 minutes and wash out with a gentle shampoo and conditioner
